Help the ACPA Fight to $ave You Money
Last week, Christi Collins of the ACPA sent an e-mail to ACPA members with a request for help from pumpers: "[The ACPA has] been actively pursuing a reinstatement of an exemption of federal fuel taxes. We are currently engaged with the Internal Revenue Service in a fuel use study to determine the average off-road amount of diesel fuel consumed by concrete pumps. We need your help to collect this data."
The information they are trying to gather is already available on many of your concrete pump trucks, specifically 1998 and newer Mack trucks. Using the V-MACK or V-CADS pro software, you can get reports including total fuel consumed, pto fuel, idle fuel usage and percent of total pto. By gathering this information, the ACPA will be able to make a stronger argument for the reinstatement of your fuel tax.
The ACPA needs this information by June 1st, and time is of the essence. If you have this software (or access to it), please download this information from the engine control modules of your trucks, and get this info to the ACPA ASAP! If you don't have immediate access to the software, please contact the ACPA and they may be able to help you gather the info.
For more information on this, please contact the ACPA. This is an urgent matter and they are there to help!
BIG Buildings: Just how tall will they grow?
From the Empire State to the Taipei 101 building. These monsters have been getting bigger and bigger and people are starting to ask "Just how tall can they build these things"?
As an answer, this article from Forbes magazine says much, much taller. We've got the technology and the desire, but the real question they introduce is whether or not it makes sense. Take a peek at these pictures and read the article for yourself. You might just be entering a pressurized building one day soon.
