Zoomlion acquires Cifa!

Zoomlion, along with Goldman Sachs and two other investors have acquired a 100% stake in Compagnia Italiana Forme Acciaio SpA (Cifa). Zoomlion will own a 60% stake in the company, with the balance going to the other investors. It is estimated that the acquisition will nearly double Zoomlion's production capacity.
A mid-sized equipment manufacturer, Zoomlion is interested in growing their customer base outside of China, and will leverage the Cifa brand to do so. It is being read by some analysts as a move to counter Sany's enterance into the United States with their $100 million facility.
You can read more about the acquisition here and here.
DT Benefit of the Month: Use Maps to Confirm Job Site Location
Getting a pump to a job site on time and as affordably as possible is a key responsibility of dispatcher. In order to make sure that an operator gets to the right place at the right time, the dispatcher, first of all, needs to know exactly where that place is. Time and money is lost when an operator spends even 10 extra minutes trying to get to the right place.
With DispatchThis's mapping tools, your staff can confirm the location of the job site real-time while the customer is on the phone. Once an address has been added to an order, you can click a button which will show you the address on a map. You can then ask the customer if the job site is, for example, actually at the intersection of Opportunity Drive and Enterprise Way. If so, great; if not, you can modify the location on the map, and the system will save it for you. Once it's confirmed, you'll always know that you're sending your operator to the right place!

Using tools like this can introduce some significant efficiencies into your organization. Tighten up your business now so you can breathe a little easier as the summer goes on!

Dynamic Concrete Pumping Pours 18,500 Yards
It happened a month ago, but the record still stands: DispatchThis customer Dynamic Concrete Pumping of Canada poured the third largest pour in history. Behind pours in Dubai and Las Vegas, this pour in Calgary Alberta set the foundation for "The Bow," the largest towers built in Canada in 18 years. Congratulations to Joe Delehay and the entire team at Dynamic!
You can see more pictures of the pour at the Dynamic Concrete Pumping Website, and read more on the Alliance Newsletter.
For Fun: Joanides Closing in Points Leader!
Having fallen to 52 points behind the leader, Nick has managed to climb back to within 14 points of 1st place with his Late Model team. A few more good races, and he may find himself in first place -- just as he is with his super late model team!
