Fall ACPA Board Meeting
The Fall ACPA board meeting is this week. We hope to see many of you there.
Attendees can expect to participate in the ongoing discussion regarding the ACPA's efforts to fight for lowered fuel taxes, meet with other concrete pumpers to find out how they are faring in this tough economy, and have some time to relax with friends.
This fall's meeting is being held at the Ritz Carlton hotel on Amelia Island, FL, October 2 & 3.
By attending ACPA board meetings you can take an active hand in your industry, shape the legislation which affects your bottom line, and meet and learn from concrete pumpers from across the country.
We hope to see you there! For more information, please contact the ACPA.
Another happy customer! This one in Australia.

At DispatchThis, we're proud to offer a high-quality, easy-to-use, product, but, ultimately, we're even more proud of our emphasis on customer service. We were very gratified to receive the following letter from one of our newest customers in Australia:
For approximately 4 years, our company, Brisbane Concrete Pumping (Australia), has promised its staff a software program to assist and aid in its daily running of about 40 pieces of equipment, and approximately 60 operators and linehands.
This year we became very serious about finding the most suitably tailored program that would incorporate all of the options and requirements we needed. I had the opportunity to research the products available and to determine as to whether they could be adapted and prove beneficial to us.
Dispatch This was the only program that was able to tick all of our boxes.
The ease with which our staff is able to understand and perform its functions are second to none. We have employees with computer skills that range from absolute beginner to intermediate. The DispatchThis program is easy to understand, has straightforward logical options for entering and retrieving data, can be individually tailored to our unique business needs and a swag of add-ons that can be attached as the need and competency of the users increase.
The biggest attraction to me as the Systems Manager is that when I need an answer or an extra function added to our program, I have a response within the hour from James and/or Rahul. I have a firm belief that the program is only as good as the support available and received. Dispatch This excels in customer service with a software program that is truly second to none.
Yours,
Sarah Gladman
System Manager

Pinkenba, Queensland

Thanks, Sarah! We're glad you're happy with DispatchThis and the service we provide.

Tornado-proof Homes!
In past years, we've written about how concrete homes are increasingly being built to withstand hurricanes in threatened regions. Well, as it turns out, a concrete home is also a great defense against tornados.
With tornado winds reaching speeds in excess of 200 mph, the challenges of building a tornado-proof home are great. So far, however, it seems that concrete is the only material which can hold up in severe tornadoes. Add the energy-saving features of concrete homes and building homes out of concrete are becoming increasingly attractive to consumers.
Read about Frame Walls vs. Concrete Walls, and the full article on concrete tornado-resistant homes.
