Concrete Pumps Getting the Job Done
We've got three stories featuring concrete pumping companies this month, starting with DispatchThis customer Coastal Carolina Pumping of Charlotte, NC.
Coastal Carolina Pumping was selected for a massive job in downtown Charlotte, NC: The Wachovia Corporate Center. They've already placed about a third of the 90,000 cubic yards this job calls for. Read the full article to see how the team works to balance the challenges presented by using four placing booms, multiple concrete mix designs and pumping into a 100-foot deep hole.
Our next story features Quality Concrete Pumping of Coral Springs, FL. Quality was selected to work on the restoration of concrete patios of a 29-story condominium in Fort Lauderdale, FL. While only requiring about 100-200 cubic yards of concrete, the job, which was completed in June, was begun in July of 2006. The article goes on to discuss pumping through up to 540 feet of slick line, and attaching it up the side of buildings with U-bolts. Check it out!
Our third story features Gordy's Concrete Pumping of Sussex, WI. Using a combination of booms and placing booms, Gordy's pumped a 32,000 cubic yard parking structure over the course of 32 pours. The article discusses the methods used by the contractor to maintian a fast pace to get the job done. Read more here.

Sany in a Wait-and-See in GA
It looks like Sany's agressive growth is taking a breather in Georgia. While it doesn't seem that funds are a problem, Sany is putting development of their new Facility in PeachTree City, GA on a 90-day hold. Part of a $30 million investment, the facility is to be used as an assembly plant initially for concrete pumps, with plans to expand their assembly lines to include other products.
You can read more about Sany's plans here and here.
